Boys & Girls Club

Boys Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver is an organization that makes a real impact on our community therefore, DC Marketing Strategies Inc. has decided to donate a portion of my commissions to BGCGV to assist them in their vision:

“To bring out the best in every child, youth, and family who needs us”

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver, founded in 1936, is a leading provider of programs that support the healthy physical, educational and social development of 4,000 children, youth and families in the community. The seven Clubs in the Greater Vancouver area create a safe, supportive place where individuals can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. At BGCGV, no one is turned away due to an inability to pay; as a result, everyone, regardless of socio-economic status, has access to their services and programs. Club services are provided at no cost to families other than a $25 annual membership fee that is waived if a family’s financial situation warrants it.

Facts about the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver

• Over 4,000 individuals are served annually;
• More than 400 young people participate daily in club activities in 7 Clubs around the lower mainland;
• Over 430,000 hours of youth services are delivered;
• Over 1,000 youngsters enjoy a wilderness experience at Camp Potlatch;
• Over 500 youth receive counselling support related to substance abuse;
• Close to 250 families are involved in support programs related to parent/teen conflicts;
• In excess of 60,000 hours of voluntary service are provided by over 850 volunteers involved in direct youth services, committee and board governance, special events and work project.
